We can handle your lawn installation needs from rough grade to lush lawn. The key to a full-green lawn starts with great topsoil. Trucut Landscaping L.L.C. is designed to work together with you and your budget to fulfill your lawn needs. We offer conventional seeding, hydro-seeding, and sod installations.
Water is essential to every lawn but especially a new lawn. Each time watering your lawn, the length of time should increase allowing for more water to reach further depths. This will help create a deeper grass root system. Remember, the amount of water a lawn can hold varies, so apply water evenly to avoid puddling and runoff.
Site Preparation: Excavation, grading, trucking in new topsoil and compost.
Conventional Seeding: Primary seed spreader. Apply dry seed with mulched straw covering. This needs water multiple times a day (depending on the weather).
Hydro-Seeding: Spray moist seed into the ground, with fertilizer and erosion control mulch. This is a relatively quick growing cycle (7 days before the seed pops). Great for all areas of the lawn. This needs water every day.
- Paper mulch
- Wood fiber mulch
- Useful on hillside installations
- Seed varies depending on the areas
- Contractors mix seed
- Park and athletics mix seed
- Sun or shade mix seed
- Wildflower mix seed
Sod: Roll out the sod for an instant lawn. Sod is great for projects that need a finishing touch just in time for an event, party or even a new home.
- Before installing sod, the ground should be watered evenly to a depth of 3”, meaning pre-installation watering should start taking place 24-48 hours before installation.
- The sod itself is watered on-site as it is being applied.
- Set up sprinklers or water with a hose daily for at least two weeks. It is important to keep roots moist so they do not dry out.
